launcherpro contacts shortcut question

I installed launcherpro and it completely changes the phone, the UI is incredibly fluid, rivaling that of an iPhone. I absolutely love the amount of customization.

However, I have one small question. I added a few contact shortcuts to one of the home screens and it's not loading their facebook picture in the actual shortcut (they're displayed if I go into contacts).

Is there some setting I need to change or is it some limitation with the app itself?

TIA.

I am not sure but I think it's just a limitation in the LP app. I would say you can just 'use your own' pics for their icons when you load. Maybe download their photos or something to use?

It works fine on my droid. Just tried it with this method and it worked:
hold down on screen, choose shortcut, choose contact, choose a contact that has a picture

Is that what you did?

As a side note...I find it is nicer looking IMO to use a folder and fill the folder with direct dials.

One thing that only slightly bothers me is that the pics will not update when the facebook pic does. The pic is set in stone unless you redo the shortcut.

Yeah I did the same thing. No luck, oh well its no biggie. It worked fine with the Droid's stock UI but other than that minor hiccup, launcherpro is a great app.

Weird...must be a droid x thing...You should report it as a bug in the launcherpro.com forums. The developer is very quick about updates and considering the X is so popular I would think he would want it perfected for it.

Same thing here! I have four I put on my screen, two of them loaded the pictures (all gmail) - the other two did not. They are in the contacts list, but not on the screen.

I love LauncherPro - was using Home++ on my D-1, but on the X it would not work with constant Force Close issues. LP is even better - very smooth!

I had similar issues ... but I believe it to be the fault of when you have a null linked profile. Check your contact(s) in question to see if at the bottom of their profile in "linked profiles" there is a null entry. Long story short, I deleted all my contacts and re-sync'd to resolve. My problem ended up being an issue with Touchdown.

While on the topic of this though, the "people" widget (in the paid version), does not display the quick contact options (email/talk/gtalk/etc.) on the X, but it does on OG Droid. Anyone else notice this? Two Droid X's, same problem remains ... Been meaning to go make a post on the forum, but I'm sure someone else has already pointed this out.
