kt747 on JB leak

Ok so im looking into flashing the Kt747 kernel. This will be the first time flashing a kernel for me. So I was wondering this does not change any features/UI right? From what I get it basically makes overclocking avalible and better batterylife. Am I right? And does this kernel work with stock JB leaked deodexed?
