Keep task alive??

Is there a way to keep a task alive in Froyo?? For example, I have a download manager app that I use to download 100mb movie files that I've uploaded online. BB0.4 kills that after a bit and there's no "resume" in my app! Is there a way to keep tasks alive?? Should I uninstall the app and move it to the system folder on my phone!? Second question, is there a task killer that works with Froyo and makes sure the tasks don't re-open -- just like the system's force stop? None of the one's I was using work cause JIT just re-opens them. Thanks for the help guys!

It's hard to understand why your task is being killed.
Froyo doesn't let kill apps that are running (that was a great move from Google) so if ur app is downloading there is not way to kill it.
So if ur app is being kill before it finishes it process it may be something wrong with the app (maybe not compatible with Froyo) or maybe it is just using to much memory (which is very unlikely) so the system is killing it.
