[ROM] Bugless Beast V0.8 ESE53 STABLE

its so fast and stable. has interactive live wallpaper suport and my batter last for like 2 days. and more stuff is to come

I chose BB as well. So far, both versions (BB7.5 and BB 2.1 V0.4) have been extremely stable.

Thanks for the links guys but can someone explain to me how to install bb for example? I tried downloading the zip file from my phone and it says it's not supported.

Follow the instructions here:[ROM] Bugless Beast V0.8 ESE53 STABLE

And use the nandroid backup method instead of update.zip.

Definitely make a backup of your data before continuing because you will have to wipe it during installation since you'll be moving from 2.01 to 2.1.

Also remember you can't recover 2.01 data on top of 2.1 so try to make individual backups if you can. For example, if you use AK notepad, use the backup feature within Ak notepad as you'll have no problems restoring it that way. If the program has no backup feature, then you can download titanium backup from market and use that to make the backups. I read that it will indeed restore 2.01 data to 2.1. I tried it on a few programs and had problems so what I did was to do individual backups of my two heavily used programs: ak notepad and touchdown.

Cyanogen Mod for the Droid. I've used almost every ROM out there. This Cyanogen Mod is the most polished/feature rich 2.1 ROM I've come across. WOW is all I can say

Cyanogenmod For Droid V5.0.4.2 (03/12/2010) - CyanogenMod Forum

Agreed. I tried "Bugless" Beast, switched to SholesMod (never upgraded to DroidMod), then went with Ultimate Droid for a few days before switching to Cyanogen, and it's going to take a hell of a lot for me to switch away from Cyanogen. It's fast (seriously...really, really fast), rock solid, runs ridiculously cool (I've never seen my battery temp monitor go above 40ºC at 1000MHz while SholesMod and Ultimate Droid would hit that after about 5 minutes of web browsing at 800MHz), and just has so many beautiful little extras. It has a COMPLETELY STABLE Launcher2 with room for 4 fixed apps by the app drawer button (and it functions in landscape mode as well), 360º screen rotation, compatibility with most everything designed for the N1 cyanogen, and the backing of a fantastic dev in Koush.

1+ Another vote for Cyanogen!

Any help for my error msg? Neither cyan or bb work. Same error msg posted earlier in the thread.

One thing to note is that they use different recovery images. If you're going to use anything other than Cyanogen, go get DroidMod Updater - DroidMod Updater released - DroidMod You should have no problem downloading that. It will install SPRecovery for you.

If you plan on using Cyanogen, go to the market and download ROM Manager. It will install Clockwork Recovery for you.

To download a .zip file to your phone, download a file browser from the market called Astro. Then open that, hit menu, select more, click preferences, and down at the bottom there is a check box next to "Enable Browser Downloader". Check this and you can download any type of file to your phone.
