and I'm running the Team Chaos Froyo V1.0 but how do you get a custom kernel and overclock it at 1ghz?

wait your running v1.0? thats really old. how about you try our froyo rom build. then you can just install a numerous number of kernels. p3 always work the best. but before you can overclock you need to install setcpu from the market.
