Just got the Droid Eris - New to Droid

Hello! I've been playing with the Eris since Christmas day...it's a blast.

1 big question, and please let me know if I should post elsewhere. I could not seem to find any topics on this.

I had the Samsung SCH i-760 for the last 2 years with wifi and always wondered something. I have also asked Verizon this too and they could not give me a "100% FOR SURE" answer. If I'm connected to wifi with my phone and I want to browse for new apps, use the internet browser, check Facebook (that's a whole other thread), etc....will the phone use the wifi connection FIRST and foremost and NOT use the 3G connection?

Yes, once wifi access point entered and available will switch to it instead of 3G, look at the little icons in the notification bar for confirmation
