Is there any recommendations for new owners? Can be anything...apps, settings, tips, tricks etc...

Also, behold the POWER of the LONG TAP It will solve many of your quandries.

Only real recommendation I can give is to browse the threads here. I've learned a lot just reading through all the different topics. Some are a little to technical for me, but others have been real helpful. I especially enjoyed the thread showing everyone's droid desktops.
