Just fot a new eris to replace the old one that keeps freezing on me.

Was just wondering if anyone could help me put my contacts on the new eris that I got from the old eris that I am shipping back to verizon. Also anyway to get the paid apps off the old phone to the new one?
THanks

What version of Android are you running on your old Eris?

both phones have 2.1

Good! Then your contacts are all set. IN 2.1 any contacts you put into your phone sync back to your google account. Once you switch to the new phone, and enter your google account info, they will transfer to the new phone automagically!

Also, no worries on your paid apps. Again, they are tied to your google account so as long as you use the same google account on the new phone, you'll be able to redownload the new apps free of charge.

However, I would download and install Astro File Manager to the old phone. Back-up all of your apps using it (backup apps option is under tools) to your SD card. Swap the SD card from the old phone to the new. THen after switching over to the new phone, download and install Astro on the new phone, and restore your backed up apps from your original SD card.
