Just downloaded 4.4.4

But the only thing I noticed is that my widget for toggling gps on and off was gone. When I downloaded another one it wouldn't work. Also, when you drag down the setting from the top (with one finger or two) the gps setting is GONE! Is it only me?? What's up with that?

Seems you are not alone. Mine is gone too but the GOS still works.

I should have figured that out. Same thing on some tablets. Totally forgot.

It's an all or nothing situation now though. Location is either off or on & when you long press, you can choose High Accuracy (wifi, cell, gps), Power Saving (wifi & cell), or GPS only rather than setting them independently with check boxes like you used to be able to do.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the change. I don't need GPS often, but it's cumbersome enough to notice.

Does the 4.4.4 update rectify the soft reboots some of us who took the NG6 update experienced?

Personally I would go ahead and take the 4.4.4 update. It included some great "fixes & features" on the S5 and I can honestly say I much prefer this version over the much hyped 5.0 update. That said, keep in mind that this is a pretty significant update and you may want to do a FDR after updating, to keep any unforeseen issues from popping up later.

Have you tried downloading it using Samsung Kies on your computer?
