Joining Facebook Contacts With Existing

Just got the new Galaxy S4. I've synced all of my Facebook contacts into my pre installed Contacts app, but I am having issues joining them with my SIM contacts. When I go into the Facebook contacts there is a "join" option. When I select it, it brings up my contacts book to choose the contact I want to join with. This would be great except it doesn't show any of my SIM contacts to join! Help?

It seems all Facebook contacts without their phone numbers posted on FB are read-only accounts that will not let me edit them. So even if I wanted to do it manually, I couldn't. There must be a way to fix this?

Finally got it! If anyone is having the same issues, I have the solution. I do have the new GS4 with Android 4.2.2 so it might be a little different. I went into the contacts app, and hit import/export. I imported all of my SIM contacts to my device and it imported and joined them with the Facebook contacts. It did keep the SIM contacts so I just had to manually delete those.
