January update?

A half intelligent clerk at the Verizon store there was another update coming in early January. Any truth to that or were they just trying to get rid of me amd my issues? Thanks.

This is old news. There was a leaked document a while back that cataloged known issues with the Droid, provided current work-arounds, and noted future updates that would address the issues. The first date was Dec. 11, 2009, and we all know that that was the release of 2.0.1. The second date listed for an update to resolve problems was Jan. 22, 2010. The thought is that this update will be for Android 2.1. If he said "early January" though, perhaps they'll be able to push it out a bit sooner. I wouldn't hold my breath on that thought, but hopefully they'll stick to the Jan. 22 date.

Original date was January 22nd from previous documents leaked earlier, but with the Nexus coming out with 2.1 around January 5th, it's possible Verizon will push the next OTA out sooner than originally planned.

uhhh, last I tried to do it, I couldn't find it here when I searched. I found it again on the endgadget website.
