I've made a mistake.. newb needs some help. bad

Hello! I've got (had) a rooted droid x running froyo. Doing some modifications in root explorer, I accidentally deleted build.prop. I had to reboot the phone, and guess what. It doesn't load back up. It goes passed the motorola M and then just to a blank, black lit screen.. I've gone through wiping cache, and even restore through boot menu.. Am I bricked, for good?

If you did this will get you back. Not sure if it would be as easy as getting a new build prop and copying it over from your computer. (Probably Not). So I would run with this guide.
