Is tethering ok on the Droid?

Am I going to get screwed by Verizon
Technically is it ok? No, technically it's evil and morally repugnant and every time you tether, God kills a kitten. At least that's gonna be VZW's official position.

Will they catch you? Most likely not, unless you do nothing all day but watch streaming movies and stuff like that.

So far the answer is "No"

So far I have been able to tether away, with no warnings, or other propositions from Verizon. Though that is always subject to change. Getting ready to cancel my unlimited text, now that GV text are real time now :icon_ banana::icon_ devil::rockon:

so does anyone use their droid/tether as their main source for internet for their home?

Main source of internet...no. But when I have no internet due to me being out and about, driving (not me of course), and powers out (always awesome to be able to get on the internet when no one else in the house has power lol), I do use it. I would NOT use it as the primary internet unless you want a call from VZW for all of the bandwidth youre using.

I am currently, but only because my internet will be down until Thursday.

I won't be able to play MW2 or get the new map pack coming out tomorrow, but I guess I can wait a few days to play a game that completely annoys me :p

Know this is off-topic but I just had to say I feel the exact same way. Never have I hated yet loved a game as strongly as I do MW2

Why don't u just play via teather?
Assuming he could even connect, he'd be dead by the time he saw the bad guy shooting at him. FPS games are all about ping.

I will be attending a National Guard school from the first of next month till eight May. Will be doing some I expect limited, tethering since I can do most of what I want to do on the phone itself.

Hopefully I wont get slapped down.

Will report when I get back.
