Internal Memory Creeping Up?

TxDoc

In the last few days, my internal memory has creeped up by 3GB. IF I pics, I move the m to my SD card. I keep my cache deleted.
I'm wondering why I see this?

My SD card is setup as portable storage. Are my photos somehow showing up as part of internal shared storage?
Thank you

When you open Settings > Storage what is taking up so much space? Cached Data?

Maybe I'll need to go thru each folder and delete things

That sounds like a good idea. I only have 36 MB in my "Other" folder. When I tap it I see a popup saying this contains "files saved by apps, files downloaded from the Internet, Android files, and so on." Maybe the Downloads folder is full? Something in the Other folder is using a lot of storage & maybe those files could be moved to your SD card if they are needed?

Under "download" I found about 1.5GB under"internal reports" which I backed up and deleted, and a GB of downloaded photos under Handcent.

But, going folder by folder or ranking folders by size when hooked to my PC, there are no large folders to make up 6GB of "other" . 8GB is apps space, I get that Maybe they are in hidden folders? I don't know, but using Explore on my PC, I don't know where this 6GB of data, photos or whatever this stuff could now be.

If you have the Facebook app active, check its data. There can be a whole bunch of bloat in that one I found before freezing mine. Your browser will save a copy of everything you download and put on your sd card for some reason so check your download area of your browser data

Thanks.mountainbiker. I don't do any social media.

I'll double check the browser downloads.I may be wrong, but I checked Handcent downloads, Downloads, Download, download anywhere I could find a variation off the word. I'll check, again.
