installing bootanimation/Kernals

just looked to see if my question hasnt already been answered but im not totally sure...how do you install BootAnimations/Kernals?? Do you install them the same way as themes and ROMS by changing the file to update.zip or is it something more intricate?

It depends. Kernels yes and if you are using ClockworkMod/ROM Manager you can do it there.

Bootanimations are a little different. Most developers that have BAs out there also have instructions on how to load them. Since all are a little different, I would look around at the different BAs and read the developer's suggested methods of installing.
