I've used my droid in light rain(phone call, texting) and it was completely fine. I didn't open the keyboard though, so I don't know if liquids have an easier time of getting in that way. As long as you didn't submerge your phone in anything, I'm pretty sure you are fine.
:rofl3: That gave me a real good laugh.
I don't get paranoid... doesn't have that affect, but it does contribute to financial instability! lol :icon_ rasta:
Thanks for the link, I've already read that article. Like I said, my device did not really get soaked. More like a splash of liquid on the surface. If the droid is not exhibiting any acute problems I'd like to assume that it is still fine. I just want a confirmation from experienced users around here before I start freaking out that I might have screwed it up
In all seriousness, I've never had a device get wet that didn't start giving me problems almost immediately. It's been many hours since your Droid got splashed, and no troubles, yes? You've dried it off as best you can, including removing the battery and checking underneath it, yes? It's still working normally, yes? Then LEAVE IT ALONE before you break something.
It's always been my experience that you just don't mess with something unless it really needs to be messed with...
I've had 2 blackberry phones and I've dropped both of them in water. My first one was dropped fully submerged twice. The first time it shut off and I let it dry in a container with some cedar. The second time it didn't even shut off and I just put it in my pocket and went on with my day... so I've never really given much thought to getting my phone wet.
Was out in the snow with my Droid over the weekend and it got pretty wet several times. No issues.
