I'm tired and can't think - tried to search keyboard question

How do I set up my droid so that when the keyboard opens it does not power on? I have searched the forums and I have checked settings but my mind is so fried from a long week that I can't find it.

Well, maybe wakes up is a better description. bottom 4 LEDs light up and the screen turn on.

I really dont think their is a setting for that...
