ICS .230 back up????????

Ok i am a bit confused yesterday i tried all the staging an QA servers to get .230 but none of them had it they had .229 an yes wiped cache to make sure it wasnt pulling the old update so what i am wondering is why did the take it down for 24 hrs an then put it back up? Did they fix something that wasnt big enough to change the build name or was it just a fluke i dont think it was since i tried each server at least 3 times every 3 to 4 hrs anyone got any ideas?

Any fix is "big enough to change the build name", as any fix would require a full recompile. A recompile IMPLIES a new build number, as the OS was "built" again from scratch.

It is possible that they forgot to take .229 down when they put .230 up and were doing some tidying up on the server and temporarily took .230 down - which at that point would make .229 the latest build available. I am sure it's nothing more than that, because they wouldn't drop back to an older build even if they DID find an issue with .230, they would do a new build to fix it and probably release .231

If you don't also clear the download before searching the next server it will still show the last update...so in effect the OP could of been seeing an update for 230 as was confirmed by Dave12308 but because he didn't clear the cache it was still showing as 229.. cheesecakin ain't easy..

Lol it is if u know what ur doing i have been doing this for awhile plus my post states that i did wipe cache
