I have a rooted 2.1 but I have a problem

Ok so I have a rooted android 2.1 and I just found out that the Droid X Bootstraper is the cause of my phone not installing the update, my question is there a clean 2.1 rom I could use that doesn't have Droid X Bootstraper?

You can either do the SBF flash, or you can try removing Bootstrapper as detailed here:
