All of the bloatware used to bother me until I realized two things:
1) freezing bloatware makes updating via OTA a little more difficult with having to unfreeze and
2) I don't see any of the bloatware because I use a folder app to organize my apps so I never go into the app drawer.
I realize that some of that stuff could be running in the background but the phone seems fast to me so I don't care. Though if someone can point out something that is eating up battery power, I'll change my opinion.
i dont see it cause i freeze it with titanium back up. its kind of a pain to unfreeze all of them for an ota but its worth it as long as i dont see them.
The "Emergency Alerts" is something most would not want to remove. It is the FCC's new mandate to issue national/regional/local alerts. Everything from tornadoes to terrorist attacks. It is called "Commercial Mobile Telephone Alerts (CMAS)":
Someone with a Bionic ran tests and found battery life and benchmarks are almost the same with or without bloat. So overall performance wise, there isn't much to worry about. As far as unfreezing what you have frozen, TiBu can do a batch unfreeze. One click!
