HTML 5 Vs. Flash

Simple two part question.

1. What is the benefits of Flash over HTML 5? (besides that 99% of contents is already in Flash format)

2. Can the Droid do HTML 5?

Bonus Question.
Is the media player on the Nexus the same as a Droid? I would really like to find a media player for video that was worth a darn.

bonus question: player thats worth a darn? how is this not that great? works for me.

Flash has been around for many years while html5 is still in flux and browsers are just starting to support it. Flash is a mature product.

The droid can do some basic HTML5, but as the standard is still under development, it is not complete on the droid. By the way, I saw an estimate recently that said the html5 standard should be complete around the year 2020--no joke.

Last I heard droid should do flash "first half of this year".
