i am having issues with my htc eris. i have had it 2 days brand new. only made a few phone calls and all those phone calls were under 5 minutes. and about 3 or 4 minutes into them and i can hear everything that they are saying just fine but they cant hear me. and the mute button has not been pushed or im not in a no service area. what is wrong????:icon_evil:
 
i might have to do that if it keeps happening. i turned the phone off and back on after the last time it happened but havent made a phone call or received on since...
 
This is a long shot...but do you have a Bluetooth headset paired with the phone? If so...it might be automatically linking up with the headset when you're making a call?
 
Clearly your smart phone isn't even performing the most basic function one would expect a phone to perform. I'm sure Verizon will be able to help you when you make it to the store and sign in at the kiosk and wait 23 minutes for someone to assist you. :)
 
Well my phone did it again. so made a be line to verizon store an hour away, got there it didnt do. :mad: so i yelled at them then went out side made a phone call smoked a cig, then went back in it did it agian. so they did another test call. and low and behold i got a new phone. after i told them that i was not going all the way home without a replacement it was on 4 days old.... so now i have a phone that works. and just wanted to say thanks to everyone that tried to help me....
 
they had no idea but they said that it is almost like the phone was self muting. cuz i could hear the person on the other line but after 3 to 5 minutes they couldnt hear me.
