hTc email app questions

1. Is there a way to play a custom ringtone with the htc email app? I do not see the option to do this like you can with the Motorola Droid.

2. Is there a way to use the default Android email app instead?

1. No there doesnt appear to be a way to change the notification for emails.

2. No the HTC Sense one is the one you are stuck with unless you get an app from the market such as K-9.
