How to tell if my Droid3 is unlocked?

Greetings,

I would like to know if my Droid 3 is unlocked. I think it might be unlocked, because I took it abroad before. But when I took it abroad I used Verizon's global service (through Vodafone).

I searched the forum and found lots of helpful information about how to unlock it, but couldn't find any instructions for how to know whether or not it's unlocked.

Does anyone know of a way to tell if the phone is unlocked?

install a non verizon sim card, if it is still sim locked, it will ask for code, if it is unlocked nothing will happen
