How to make car dock not start dock app?

I have the Verizon card dock, which I love, but man do I hate the car dock app. Without rooting, how can I keep it from going into dock mode?

take it apart their is a magnet inside remove and save it, just in case you want to make that work again.

Or you could install dock nothingness. It loads this instead of the car dock app and it doesn't do anything.
