How to draw on image

when i try to draw on image it reverses and is grey?, how do I fix this?

For anyone that doesn't know, choose a pic push button on s pen and hold on pic, it will screen shot and give you option to write on pic

I recommended the very same method on a different forum and was accused of being a troll.
I had to show a pic of the method working, and they still chose to use a 3rd party app instead, even though the phone can do it out of the box.

During my seach, most forums said, there was a missing app, and to download other apps, not need to add stuff you don't need.
