How to clean the ear speaker on moto droid?

I fold a piece of scotch tape, sticky side out, against a flat head screwdriver or a paperclip. Then I lightly insert it into the opening of the earpiece. It's like a little lint roller.

This is the best way to clean the earpiece. Blowing into the earpiece might damage it.

that's what i think happen to mine :icon_evil:. it's hard to hear out of it now, i have to press my ear real close to the ear peice and it needs to be in a quiet room. speaker mode works fine though , i think i'll get a bluetooth ear peice.

Believe it or not, go to a dept store, or other posh store that has a cosmetics counter, and get a test brush that the ladies use for testing cosmetics, it's a perfect size for getting into the speaker slot and brushing out the crap.

My wife got me one for my Droid, just sa I had one for my V9.

Alternatively you can get a small paintbrush for a hobby store to brush it out as well.
