How much faster is the Droid 2 Global than the original Droid 2?

Hey guys, I just signed up because I'm interested in buying either the Droid 2 Global, or the original Droid 2, and I wanted to know how much faster the Global is then the original. I know that the Global has a 1.2Ghz processor and the original has a 1Ghz processor, but is there any noticeable difference in speed that makes the Global worth spending an extra $50 for?

The d2g has an oc 3630 processor as i've read from some specs sites. That means it has the capability of 720p resolutions if that interests you, but may have a slightly higher battery consumption rate. Other than that, with the new kernel, it's not a huge advantage all the time. The d2g also has a few extra built in options for the softwar, but that is being worked on to put for the normal d2. Unless you are traveling outside the US, you may not need the d2g. But, if you have the 50, spend it. No harm.
