How does android market charge you?

Credit card via google checkout or just as a regular visa.

I would recommend getting a pre paid credit card or a card that you'd use for online only (with a low limit) and use it for your Google account.

Better safe than sorry if somehow your information gets stolen. At least that way you're covered
