Hotmail settings with K-9 Help

Hi,

I'm having trouble setting up my live account (hotmail) with K-9, any help would be awesome. Thanks!

I'm using Kit Kat on a Nexus 5.

Hotmail is being discontinued by Microsoft in favor of Outlook.com. The transition is easy on the WEB at outlook.com

But you didn't say much about the problem.

I use http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.outlook.Z7 for hotmail.com, live.com and outlook.com accounts. It can access folders on the accounts, which some other e-mail clients can't.

I'll give it a try. Basically what's happening is K-9 can't find the server information, so when I try to manually set up the POP3 using instructions here, then I go to set up SMTP using instructions here: it gives me the following error "Cannot connect to server. (Unable to open connection to SMTP server.)

Usually getting mail is the easier part and sending can get tricky and sending, (the SMTP part), is where the problem is. K-9 should have no problem with that. The instructions look spot an too. Maybe delete the account, restart and try adding the account back in.
