Now hearing about the razr maxxx i was thinking after it comes out about 6 months my guess would be that cell phone repair places would be able to get the battery and backing plate soo we who have regular razr can get the battery put in. Cuz we cant get the maxxx. Just a tought

hopefully sooner, but i doubt motorola would allow that.

I dont see why not its like gm b4 they killed pontiac there interchangeable.

Well im sure motorola has a little to do with it, but I have just talked to verizon a few days ago and I shall be able to replace my razr with the maxx soon as it is released. I'm sure that come from being a verizon VIP but would not hurt for others to try.

The Maxx has a thicker casing not just a diff battery and back plate.

Have you seen the video opening the Razr? The battery is actually connected to the phone. Not that you can't take it out, but it's not as easy and just pulling it and putting in another one. There's some screws involved, so don't just go pulling on it, lol
