Any chance you could point me in the direction of the rooting? I downloaded the Sourcery2.2 final, but have NO clue what to do next. If not, no worries... I'm good at Googling aimlessly to eventually find it.

It depends on your phone model. Look under the section for your model and then it's usually under "development" or "hacking". You should be able to find your specific root program and instructions there. I would also suggest checking out XDA Developers, between this forum and theirs, i tend to find everything i need. Happy rooting

Yup. Droid 1. Thanks for the quick responses guys!!! Got it the day it came out and have turned a lot of people on to Android... I've been wanting to root this thing forever, but have not spent the time to learn anything about doing so. I really just want to overclock it and make it quicker.
