Hi everyone,
It's great to be on this forum. As this is going to be my first smart phone,
(I've never really seen the need to have one before), I'm looking forward to learning a lot about the droid.
From the reviews that I've read, it looks very impressive, but one question that I have is, for someone that has never had or used a smart phone before, how easy will this be to learn how to use.
I tried to play with a co-workers T-Mobile my touch the other day, and I found it to be a bit of a pain to try to do things, especially browsing the web.
I'm looking forward to interacting with all of you here. :)

the droid is very simple to navigate, i got to play with one yesterday and it took very little getting used to. expect it to act like a computer and you will be well on your way to understanding, if you expect it to act like a phone you might be confused.

welcome to the machine!

Welcome VegasDroid!

There is a learning curve to every smartphone on the market. It is the reason that forums like this are so popular. If you keep reading and asking questions you will soon have your friends asking you questions.

Thanks Sam,
That makes me look forward even more to getting it!

as you should.. its almost as good as carrying around my netbook-- nearly as fast and does nearly as much (as far as basic tasks). it just happens to fit in the pocket too. i think we are blurring the line between what is computer and what is a phone..

Thanks for the welcome everyone, I'm looking forward to learning a lot here, and interacting with all of you.
And yes, the weather here in Vegas is awesome right now, low 80's.
