Help With Twitter

Okay, so a month ago, I stopped getting notifications and also alerts I had set for specific accounts. It still shows I'm subscribed to the two accounts, but nothing. Anyone know what the problem could be?

I have a Note 2 by the way, but I had problems with the same thing before getting it. Also have the latest update, but the problem started before it.

I stopped using the twitter app a long time ago because of problems. Currently I'm using the Plume app for Twitter. I really like this one and it had timely updates (sometimes I think too many that don't apply to me... but at least they udpate).
