Help w/ Unknown Icon

I have this wierd icon on my status bar and today my phone got nice and warm and my battery died after 5 hrs on standby. I am going to get another (this will be #4) Droid but before I do I would like tho know what the hell this symbol is. It is not in the manual and verizon wirless had no clue (call center). Thanks

It's your gmail (email/facebook) sync symbol...

Have you done a factory reset before returning your device?

That's the sync symbol. I've heard of Droids getting stuck in sync and draining the battery.

Thats weird and must be a 3rd party app cause I looked at the manual http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles...tatic-Files/DROID_UG_Verizon_68000202474a.pdf and it doesnt show that as an icon...

Please review this thread on this issue. Factory reset seems to remedy the problem

I will try to do a factory reset, appreciate the help guys. Any ideas as to why this may have happened? I have replaced the droid before, and used "My Backup Pro" app. This was uneventful the last time I loaded my data from this program??
