Are you choosing

-Allow update.zip installation
-Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)

respectively from the recovery menu when you go to install?

ps. I think your posting in the wrong forum.

yeah i did click that before pressing install

i get this
install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
opening update package
verefying update package
e:cant open /sdcard/update.zip
(no such file or directory)
installation aborted..
E: no tar archives found
E: no tar archives found

And all i did before this was download that zip file, rename it "update.zip" then reboot into recovery, to go install, press "allow update.zip installation" then i go to "install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)"

I would download the file again, rename it again and try everything over. Could you have it named update.zip.zip due to windows not showing you the file extensions?

I'm having the same problem the only difference is my file name does not have .zip.zip extension and i am choosing (Allow update.zip Installation) (and then Install/sdcard/update.zip(deprecated)).What else could it be?
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: update.zip is in the root file of the sdcard
