help flashing on droid x

I'm am rooted by way of droid life. When i try and back up with rom manager. I name it. then the m comes on. the box appears with the arrow for a half a sec and then i get an ! mark. My phone then turns on like normal. this happens when i try and flash a rom too. Please help

you need a program called droid x bootstrap, you can make back ups, load roms and themes with this program. rom manager is probably not as up to date as it should be. bootstrap is a must...good luck

Just as Tatuud said.

You need to install Droid Bootstrap Recovery. This is the app you would use to boot into recovery not rom manager. You can download roms from rom manager and use bootstrap to go into recovery mode and load the rom.
