Help!!!! email question

What would cause an email program to un sync? My wife has gmail and verizon email and all was fine, but now verizon will not sync and no option to sync in settings just delete option.

Many people have had this problem with the stock email app, where it basically just stops downloading new emails. I've seen a couple of threads about it in this forum, here's one on motorola support: https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/17754

The quick solution is to just restart the phone. It should then start receiving emails again for the time being.

I remember reading this has something to do with having a large amount of emails stored on the server. I needed to leave mine on the server since I also have the account sync to outlook, so rather than have to restart my phone every couple days, I just setup GMail to receive them and stopped using the email app. Alternatively you could try using the K9 Email app, I've never used it but I've heard it much better than the stock app.

I wish I could figure out why my GMail stopped syncing suddenly. I'd like to figure out how to delete my GMail account without restoring and seeing if re-setting up my email account will fix the problem.
