I use the battery usage part of Advanced task manager a lot, and all of the sudden it wont work. When I click on it it says "Sorry! The application settings (process com.adroid.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

I tried reinstalling and rebooting, still same error.
The only thing I did differently before was that I wanted to uninstall the swype app, but I couldn't, so I deleted all of the data.

Is there anything I can do? Any way to revert? Please help! thanks

You shouldnt be using a task killer. The new generation of droids dont need them and it actually hurts them.

I keep hearing this but dont understand it. Could you explain?
If more programs are running that means more memory which would mean more battery power right? And task killers and managers are so popular...
Just curious because everyone always says dont use them but never why

Programs aren't necessarily running even though they may be in memory. Since all the memory requires battery voltage to maintain it's "state", holding a large area of "0" is no different than holding a mixed amount of "1" and "0". Android OS tries to hold as much in memory as possible. It doesn't use any more battery power and it allows for quicker/faster access to apps.
