Having an extra battery

Hi, I was just wondering if taking out the battery from the Droid X would affect any program that's already loaded (apps from market, etc). I travel often on long plane trips and I have a second battery for the Droid X in case the one in the Droid X dies. I have not found this discussed anywhere. Thanks for any tip. Sissi.

no it will not affect anything. all your apps are stored to the memory card or internal memory, same as settings.

Nope, your good. The durability of that little tab underneath the battery does worry me a little though.

No, though I suggest you close other programs or just turn the phone off before pulling out the battery. Just to be safe. :)

dont need to do anything just pull that sucker out.

for real though, battery pulls arent bad. dont need to close anything out or shut it off.

IDK, I always feel like their could be a small short and corrupt some data. Its really up to you i guess. You can take the extra minute to shut it down and then pull the battery or just be lazy and pull the sucker out.

Thanks!

Thank you everyone for helping me out. I had a paid Keyboard app and I was afraid that it would get lost, since I expect the keyboard app to be installed in the main memory not the SD card, but after the battery pull, it's still there and working great. PS: this forum is wonderful! Sissi.
