I downloaded handcent app.. how do I stop the messenger app that came with the phone to stop working without deleting it. When I get a text message they both alert me.. thank you

Go into the OEM messaging app and disable all notifications.

I found out neither GO SMS or Handcent will allow the text to call motion feature. I'm using the OEM app as I'd rather have the cool motion feature rather than slick looking texts

What is the cool motion feature?

The motion feature is when you are in a text message (only in the stock messaging app), if you hold your phone up to your ear, it will call the person you were texting.

The motion feature is when you are in a text message (only in the stock messaging app), if you hold your phone up to your ear, it will call the person you were texting.

It also works when viewing a contact from the phone or contacts stock apps.

And just to clear things up, Handcent fixed this with the last update so now it does work.
