Handcent not working after ICS update

I can't download pictures and sometimes can't send messages with handcent after ICS update.
Is there a better messaging app?

I've had no problems with Handcent since the update. have you tried make sure you are up to the latest release or uninstall and reinstall?

Check If sending and receiving with the stock sms/mms app works for you. If it doesn't, that's your issue. As you never stated your Rom, it's impossible to pose any other legitimate suggestions...
