I'm running bugless beast v0.1 and my girl friend asked me today if i ever got the pictures she sent to my phone and i told her no. She tried 3 more times and i changed a bunch of the handcent settings but i was unable to receive them. Is anyone else having this problem or knows a fix? Any help is greatly appreciated

it has nothing to do with handcent. your problem most likely has to do with the base of the ROM, as some of these are built off of leaked builds and such some things may not work perfectly.

the easiest solution is to either
A. reflash your current rom (making a backup first of course)
B. using a more updated version of the rom (bugless beast V0.4)
C. having your girl friend just send the picture to your gmail, which then syncs with your phone.
D. Any of the above choices :)

C. Is not a good choice, because the poster should be able to receive mms.

A. and B. are probably what's needed, but I have to say and I know some of Petes fans are going to get on me for this but the bugless beast doesen't seem nearly as bugless as it should be. I see more problems with that ROM then any other.

I haven't personally tried it and the other ROMs may have their issues too but I seem to see a lot more problems with BB. And this is not the first MMS issue I've seen with it either.

I was having this problem (Posted in the Bugless Beast section) and the problem was that I had uninstalled the stock Messenger app. Evidently it's the stock Messenger app that handles MMS messages, so if you uninstall it you won't be able to receive them.

I have this same problem, and because handcent is so popular, so many ppl think it's related to handcent.

I do NOT have handcent, have only ever used the stock msging app.
Yes, Im rooted,
Yes, Im using buglessbeast .6.1

my MMS was working fine until abt 3 days ago. I havent changed anything, havent switched roms or even added removed any apps. i tried a test MMS in&out today and I finally managed to rcv one but still stuck on "sending" for outgoing. ive had my outgoing mms in limbo on "sending" for the past 3 days

someone's who's figured this out, pls report back.
will try and report back if I figure this out.

Check your Internet firewall rules

So to be honest, the replies so far have been largely useless.

Here's what may actually help: MMSes are downloaded through HTTP connections. Check that Handcent has permission to access the Internet.

For example, on CyanogenMod, you can disable individual permissions for app. Go to "Manage Applications", and check that Handcent has Network Communication checked,

Or if you run a firewall like DroidWall, check that Handcent is allowed.

Hello Dandv,

Can you give me the steps to get here?
