You guys have to watch this! It's fascinating. The markets over there are in abundance of everything imaginable for tech devices. Like flea-markets in USA is the closest I could think of, and none of it is approved by apple!
Just watch it, great half an hour of your time if you enjoy travel/tech/diy.

Td;dr - it cost him about $300 in parts to build 16gb iPhone 6s and about 2 months worth of time.

I know this isn't news but I wasn't sure where to put it. Mods feel free to relocate to a sub of your choice.

Yes, what is expensive is the sticker with the apple. Apple sells a brand, not devices.
