Google Voice Icon

The last couple of days it's been asking me to log into google voice. I have never setup gv on this phone. Why out of the blue this icon started showing up? I have try everything from killing the process to added it to ignore. No matter what the dam icon pops up again. What am I doing wrong?

Icon, or notification? Do you have the Google voice app on your phone? If so, can you uninstall it?

It's the notification wasn't sure about remove apps that came with the phone. What would make gv start popping up?

i'm like 99% sure GV doesn't come with the phone.

home - menu - settings - applications - manage applications - find google voice and uninstall.

I have literally no idea...I don't think that Google Voice came with the phone though. It's downloadable in the market.

Are you sure you don't mean GoogleTalk?

Hmm...Interesting. Did you try going into the market and looking at your downloads to see if it was somehow in there to uninstall?

If that doesn't work, try this:

From your home screen, press Menu
Press Settings
Press Applications
Press Manage Applications
Press Menu again
Press Filter
Press Running
Locate Google Voice and press it
Press Uninstall

Let me know if either of those work for you.

I just removed the app not sure why it started popping up. Nothing has change on my side that I know of.
