Yesterday my placement phone came in the mail. I activated the phone with my information, but everytime it powers on it says that Google talk authentication failed. Every time I click the talk app on my phone it does the same thing, and never signs in. Any suggestions?? I also cannot download any apps from the droid market (it says download starting but never progresses past this), I've read that this problem might be related to not being able to log into google talk. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I am having the same exact issue. Did you do a factory reset? I am completely new to this phone and every time I try to download apps it gives me the Google Talk Authetication Failed. Yet, when I try to log into Talk from my phone, nothing happens.
