Google Maps-Voice Directions

Supposedly Google Maps has a feature that will have a voice tell you turn by turn by turn directions--I can't find this on Droid X? I can get the directions ok but can't figure out how to activate the voice ??

When you get directions there are two options for you to click, one is navigate the other is directions (not labeled; they are icons). Or, once you get directions and are on the map view, hit menu and tap navigate.

Have you updated Google Maps in the market? Are you using the Navigation icon? It's blue and in the apps drawer. Works automatically unless you've turned the volume to silent.

Thanks--got it! Not sure, but may have to have the GPS function ON for the voice.
