Google GPS app won't talk

I used to get turn by turn directions with spoken directions on my GS8+. But ever since the software upgrade, it won't talk. Is there a way to get back to voice??

Double check it's not connecting to Bluetooth maybe in car or other...

If your vehicle is connected via bluetooth and media is on the directions will be played to the radio, however if your listening to any source other than bluetooth you won't hear them.

In the Maps App settings>navigation you can turn off this and sound should play through phone speaker.

Those are the setttings I have. Still nothing.

since there was a software update, try wiping the system cache partition. it tends to fix a lot of issues
