I'd like to do a variation of the ggogle maps fix, in terminal I want to rename (not delete) the apk, then uninstall the app, or retry downloading thru market.
Try getting build FRG01B. Not having FC issues with mine. If VZW has not sent it, upgrade it manually. There's a tutorial at Manually Update Your Motorola Droid to Froyo (Android 2.2) | Android Phone Fans that worked perfectly for me and have had no issues other than flash slowing my browser. (Mind you I had not had 2.2 installed at all at this point) You'll have to install astro file manager however but can be uninstalled once it is done. Make sure you have a scanner app sucha as Shop Saavy which is what I used. Scan the first bar code from Step 2. Follow the instructions for Astro File Manager and after a few minutes, FRG01B will be on your Droid. Hope this helped
i've tried that, and it still FCs. when i was running frg22, i was using p3droid kernel, 1ghz. then i realized goggles was a dumb program i never used and stopped worrying about it =P

sgt, I'm on FRG22 already, don't wish to go back ...
Hehehe, I know it isn't the greatist, but it is a nice show off program.
I may go back, not sure. See ... I was wondering if it had to do if it needed to be re-deodexed like Google Voice did by P3 when this got leaked... considering it was fine in 01B ...
I don't know how to do that, and I tried in root explorer removing th eAPK, then retry installing. It installed, but doesn't even open the tuitorial pages before FC'ing.
Do I use it much? No, but it nags me that I know it doesn't work.
I think it has to do with the kernel, with IPv6 not being built into the kernel. Idk about other kernels, but cvpcs moved the module into the kernel and it fixed the FC's.
Me neither, and one has to wonder why it is an IP thing ... I know Goggles has to then open the browser to give a search result, but really ...
Watching usage and temps now, but I expect things to be good.
And I may yet Jump on the rest of Sapphire CK, right now just liking FRG22 as is with ADW ... of course you and Tank may post some compelling reasons to jump over fully .....
