I am using GDocs to access my docs I have uploaded to my google account. However, I haven't been able to find out how to make changes to the docs on my phone. Is this possible? If so, how?

Click and hold on the doc name on the first screen, hit "download", the latest version of the doc is now local on the phone, open the doc and edit it, go to the menu and save, back out to the opening screen, click and hold on the doc name, hit upload.

I don' have the option to download for the doc I want (checkbook register). Other docs I do have the option, but not the one I need. Any thoughts?
